Oversight of government action

Oversee

One of the essential roles of the National Transition Council is oversight of government action. This oversight is exercised in various ways; it depends on the individual judgement of each member of the National Transition Council.

The means of exercising this oversight are of several kinds: written questions, oral questions and topical questions, to which are added information and fact-finding missions, parliamentary inquiry missions and interpellations.

Oversight of government action covers all sectors of national public life and is justified insofar as it is the National Transition Council that adopts the Action Plan of the Transition Government.

It is through the exercise of this oversight that the National Transition Council helps to guarantee the balance of powers and allows a better defence of the interests of the Malian people, whose national representation it ensures.
